Wishing on a Star

The first glow of the evening
Permeates the darkening sky
I close my eyes and think
Of what my wish may be
I screw my eyes and try real hard
To push my wish to the star
I wish to be free
I wish we all are free
Free to be free
But I know it will remain unanswered
While Hitler holds the reins
